Fögruvellir Country Cottage.
Very cozy, 42 sqm Country Cottage.
Recently renovated Cottage with great location. From the house, you can see a light river and a breathtaking view of mountains such as the volcano Mt. Hekla, Þríhyrningur, Búrfell, Eyjafjallajökull, and many more.
About a 1 – 1.5 hour drive is a phenomenal area called Landmannalaugar, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery, hike through marvelous hiking trails or bathe in natural hot springs.
Close by is Fossabrekkur very beautiful place to have a picnic and relax in nature. Tröllkonuhlaup is in the same direction as Fossabrekkur and Landmannalaugar, with very nice scenery.
We have our horses on the land, so you can go and visit them and give them bread if you like. We have Tjarnarlækur running through our land, a light river, you can walk easily in it, or have some fun in the cold water.

The Cottage has 3 bedrooms, each with a double bed, sleeps 6 if people can share the same bed.
Bedroom 1; has two 90 cm beds, that are put together. Sleeps 2 persons.
Bedroom 2; has a 120 cm electrician bed, sleeps 1-2 persons, if they share the same bed.
Bedroom 3; has a 160 cm bed, sleeps 2 persons.
The kitchen and the living room are connected in an open space and have a warm and cozy feeling. In the living room is a comfortable couch and an Apple TV.
The jacuzzi is on the patio and you can use it whenever you like. Note; when you open it then please put the protection closure on the patio, so it will not move while you are in the jacuzzi and cause a problem.
Just make sure to shower before you use the jacuzzi.
If you see the Northern lights or the bright sky with stars, we recommend enjoying it in the jacuzzi. It is an amazing experience! We have a grill on the patio as well that you can use. The micro-and grill oven is available also.

You will have the direction and the code to the key-box when you confirm your booking. You can walk around at our land, visit the horses, listen to the birds, take a good walk around the neighborhood or just lie down and enjoy the pure and fresh air.
